Description
Questria: Rise of the Robot Skullfaces is an action dungeon crawler about the power of Friendship. The evil Robot Skullfaces have stolen the power of Friendship, so it's up to a few brave heroes to rescue everyone and defeat these mechanical villains. Each procedurally generated dungeon poses new challenges. All it takes is Cheering on your allies and using your Friendship Energy to cast powerful abilities!
History
Questria started as a fan project in early 2012. The IP that we were using resulted in legal complications with other fan projects, so we decided to create a new theme. This change forced us to examine the core gameplay of Questria and build something that could stand by itself, while still fulfilling our goals of creating an action game about cooperation. We decided to twist the classic 'mana' system. 'Cheering' nearby allies allowed them to cast their powerful spells, so there's an advantage to staying together. The robots were redesigned to push players apart. Over time, everyone on the team had to prioritize their personal careers and finances and leave the Questria project. Though it took over 3 years, Questria was finally released on Steam
